Some odd problems with skinning.

Howdy all. I recently made a model in milkshape, exported it to an obj, imported it into ultimate unwrap 3d and unwrapped it, then imported the UV bitmap into photoshop for editing. I made several revisions to the skin, always saving it as a .PNG file. Somewhere along the way it went BAD however, and milkshape showed a distorted model when applying the PNG skin. It was as if the forward faces were backwards - everything was sort of transparent or missing. The BMP version of the skin showed fine.
Oddly enough, exporting the model with the BMP skin would NOT work in Torque. The model is just covered in a mini crosshatch kind of garbled mess. If I assign the PNG skin to it though - it looks fine.
So what did I do wrong that made the PNG skin break in milkshape 3d but still work in Torque? Thanks for any help with this!

In any case, this problem has nothing to do with UU from what I can tell. It has to do with something I did in photoshop to make the png file not render correctly in milkshape. I just don't know what though... I'll try posting about it on the milkshape forums in any case.

I didn't see ms3d files listed in the drop down of supported files in UU, and I was using a tutorial I had found online. In any case, this problem has nothing to do with UU from what I can tell. Can we see a screen of what it looks like in MS3D? You sure you're calling a png and not the PSD? Do you have 'show file extensions' turned on?

What version of UU? You may need to download the actual exporter and install it, or open the plugin dialog and make certain it's enabled.

Like I said, it worked fine initially. I exported the OBJ once from UU. For 2 days it worked just fine as I used photoshop to create and tweak a PNG skin. Then out of nowhere it just stopped working correctly. I figured it was a setting in photoshop that wasn't being liked by MS3D. Thanks for any help you can give me with this.
