This is my first attempts at making a 3d interiors, I think they came out well, Constructor is a great program that does have a few annoying and niggling errors but over all I think it is on the right track, Feedback welcome, especially negative or constructive, Its hard to improve when everyone just "Likes it". not to say that a good comment wont go astray.

as for the arches, I had plans for a fancy curved lattice but it just looked wrong so I removed it and left the structure, I agree it doesn't fit.
oh well
thanks for the comments.

Thanks for the comments, The house roof windows are in the geometry but was my first attempt and the model was full of errors, (most hidden) the windows were added at the last moment, and due to me screwing up some of the brushes i put it down to a learning experience and left them how they were, I will this re-make this model from scratch at a later date with real windows.as for the arches, I had plans for a fancy curved lattice but it just looked wrong so I removed it and left the structure, I agree it doesn't fit.

Nice work! I feel about the same as Andrew regarding his comments. Excellent start though. How about taking some chunks out of the tomb and house and making them look haunted just for fun?

Here is another one that I threw up tonight, I don't like it as much as it is too large, it needs to be tighter like the first house.

My 2 cents: The framing on the house might look better if the wood were a bit darker (more brown). And the roof as well, more cedar colored. The same goes for the rails around the house in the first picture - give it more contrast.
Still, I really like your style.

Thanks for that Jaimi, I have a few more I have thrown together today that I will post soon,

I am quite happy with it, it needs some small windows on the sides and few tweaks,
does anyone know where I get get tutorials on light leaks and proper portal procedure, I have searched this site and as normal only found bits and pieces, I have hear mention of a very good light leak thread but I cannot find it, and my portals that I made in constructor don't seem to block ambient light.
thanks
Ben.

Here is a 10 min test to see if it is possible, I quickly threw together a mine using constructor, I was wondering how 'blocky something would have to be before it started looking bad, and yes it looks bad, and sujestions how a good mine effect could be achieved?

It doesn't look *that* bad. It is kind of blocky, but so are real mines. In addition to varying the mineshaft itself, some debris , some DTS cobwebs, etc - could add a lot.

However, the inside could be rounded off using triangular prisms in the corners.

Yeah the mine doesn't look too bad at all if you ask me! All your work is very impressive, especially considering the fact that you are not an experienced Constructor user.

Well you are going to have to tweak it if the player is ever going to be inside the mine. The way the building is placed, you would still have terrain collision problems. But I think it looks fine. Mines are pretty square anyway.

@ Ben - Everything looks really good. I like the tomb the best. How has your luck been with the texturing process? Any advice?

@Cory - Why would there be terrain collision issues? He has cleared the terrain.@ Ben - Everything looks really good. I like the tomb the best. How has your luck been with the texturing process? Any advice?

My 2c are - I think the bridge would look better with hand railing as opposed to the tall arches at the moment, they don't really seem to have a purpose to me and make it look a little unfinished.
Also would be great to have the windows put into the geometry, rather than just the outline of where they should be (unless you have and im reading it incorrectly from that pic..)
But great work so far!
