DIFs cutting through terrain

Now, I'm sure this must have been answered somewhere here in the forums, but for the life of me I can't find it. I just recently began using constructor to make DIFs. When I import it into the world builder, I want the interior to be below the terrain, but to have an entrance above the terrain, cutting through it. I found some stuff on using portaling to accomplish this, but I don't really understand how to do this. I've learned how to turn a brush into a portal, but I'm not sure how to use a portal to make the terrain in my DIF entrance not render and all the player to pass through it into the interior area below ground.

If anyone is able to provide me a little direction, I'd be super grateful. :)

Bill Vee recently released a handy resource for a terrain cutting portal. I think it was only for Atlas terrains though, so I'm not sure.

I'll look into it if I get time today.

There is an option in the terrain builder to to make a terrain polygon not render. With the Terrain Editor activated, go to the 'Action' drop down menu, and choose the 'Set Empty' option. Now you can remove polygons from your terrain.
