So like, I just made 619.35 on a foul, and I can't make 535 legitimately! Damn! I know my little guy didn't run 94.35 feet too far! )C:

;)

If you want to bring math into it then ...

I found that if you take around 5.8 steps from the beginning (tip of spear around far center of tree) and then release when you've taken 7.9 steps then you should get around 530-534 so around this point seems to be the optimum angle/distance.

A low-click-travel mouse like the logitech optical should do the trick!

Man, you just don't wanna' know how may games of this I've played to figure that one out! ;)

On a simple trajectory equation, assuming that the guy's strength is constant and that there are no varying factors, this all relies on two variables: Angle of the spear and distance from the fault line. Now, a perfect throw will be a distance of 0 from the fault line and an angle of 45 degrees with the spear. I think there are varying factors in the game (perhaps wind, or guy's strength, or even starting point). I start my wind up when the spear tip is directly below the trunk of the third tree. I'm getting some pretty different results sometimes while others it seems consistent. I think that perhaps the makers added another variable in this that changes randomly. But I got some records:

Shortest throw: 0.02
Longest throw: 619.35
Longest Legal throw: 534.946

I give up...nah..I said that last time, and it took another 30 min from me. I wish I wasn't bored at work. Good call Mel..very addictive.

Run full screen at 1600x1200 and you have more time to make decisions ;)

Well Folks, I do believe I have beaten you all.
Throw One: 124.351
Throw Two: 215.464
Throw Three: 102.535
Now if you can beat that, then I applaud you. Aha..

I'll let you in on a secret, yet it doesnt seem to help but will get your timing set correctly.

Right at the beginning, right click and choose "forward", this will slow everything down to a crawl. I ususally go 6 steps hold and 8.25 release. I been hitting 534.7 most of the time. Just need to be able to release a fraction of a sec later.

I keep telling myself I've had enough of this game and I'm never gonna' play it again and I keep finding myself back on the site!

Now if only I could build a game with a dozen addictive elements like this in it!
