Psychic Crossbow?

Hey, this probably sounds pretty crazy, but I think the crossbow has weird mind-reading capabilities.

By this, I mean its ammo seems to do the exact opposite of what I think it's going to do.

I just tested this now. I was messing around with the crossbow, shooting at nothing really, and it runs out of ammo very quickly.

I kill myself, respawn, and shoot as many projectiles as I did before, but after each shot, I thought the next one would end it. But each time I thought that, there seemed to be another shot ready.

This continued until I just gave up and thought "Yeah, it's endless." then it ended. If I were to set up a shot counter, I'm sure it would run out when expected, but that's only because it's blatantly obvious it will.

Yeah, sounds crazy, but is anyone else feeling this too?

But of course, I can end up thinking "This is the last shot" and not really mean it, in which case it runs out.

Of course, that's why it's so cool. To my knowledge, no other engine has this feature. I've used it to great effect in my game, except you can expect your opponents mags to run out and they will, so it's kindof another layer of conflict in the battle. pretty cool.

Looks to me like you've got some rogue !'s jamming themselves infront of your $player.readMind("Last shot?") calls. Evil little buggers, hard to get rid of too.
I suggest fumigation.
