Bizarre GUI issues with constructer
by DreamPharaoh · in Constructor · 01/08/2008 (4:48 pm) · 6 replies
I loaded constructer about a week ago after buying TGEA, and everything seemed to be good, but I was working with terrain issues and not ready for constructer. Now I open it up and much of the GUI is blocky rainbow colored including the in-program mouse-pointer. I have no idea what has caused such a glitch, but I can't see what the icons are in order to work in the program. I have uninstalled and reinstalled this program numerous times with the same issue, and re-downloaded it from GG with still the same issues.

Blender has a problem with showing the texture on the UV mapped object, and the object has a simular rainbow blotchy look to it, but all other programs including TGEA are running without this issue. Here is some more info on what I have...System Information:

TGEA's renderer is DirectX based. That's why I was wondering about other GL apps. Does TGE work correctly?

I just checked TGE and it has the same issue as well, good call. I found out that NVIDEA is using NVOGLNT.DLL for its OpenGL. I don't know if this will help at all.

Have you updated your video drivers to see if it goes away? Or searched for a specific GL version of the drivers?

I have upgraded an OpenGL driver version from one of Nvidea's sub-companies and now it works. Thank you for your direction. Now if only I can upgrade my card to one that is good for game creation -- I'm tired of Nvidea issues :) Take Care
