Could torque be used to make a mmofps that deals with ww2. Also what products would you recommend getting i.e. weapons packs, vehicle packs stuff like that. Any help would be much obliged. I am here to learn so please be nice to me ;)

So, start off a bit smaller to get the feel for how the SDK works. Build some WWII models, design some basic game play. Implement your stuff into the SDK then test it with your friends using a simple multi-player level and see what they think. From then on you will have a much better understanding of network issues, design issues, coding, ect ect. MMO's are a HUGE amount of work and I think most beginners tend think of the "Grand Game" and not really realize every little step that has to be accomplished. Anyway, thats my 2 cents worth.

Torque certainly could be used for an idea like that. As for packs I would not really recommend any. Because you are placing your game in a particular time, then your weapons and vehicles need to reflect that period. I don't know of any packs that are specifically WWII based. Basically you have a lot of modeling animating and texturing ahead of you. As well as all the other complexities of an MMO. Here is what I would recommend before jumping into the whole MMO thing. Start off a bit "smaller" make a team based mod of the FPS-Starter Kit. Of course I don't know what your skill level is at the moment but that's the route I would take. Keep in mind that stock torque does not even come with a built in ammo counter (you have to script it). Same with multiple weapons and things like that....and a WWII MMO is a quantum leap from an orc with a crossbow :-) So, start off a bit smaller to get the feel for how the SDK works. Yup, undertaking a MMO is not for the faint of heart... MMO + WWII? Yikes. Better read this wiki article first....en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_War_II_Online
