Mouse hotspot off on Vista?

I'm using Windows Vista Ultimate on a widescreen monitor (Res is at 1440x900) and the buttons in Constructor and the modification handles only work when the mouse is offset from the bottom of the button or handle.

Sorry, I should also have specified that I have Catalyst 7.11 drivers installed with my ATI HD 2400.Maybe an ATI problem?

It's an Aero problem I suspect. I switched my desktop theme to windows classic and it's solved. :)

Nice. :) I didn't think of trying that. I guess I'll setup my shortcut to shutoff Aero.

I think while that fixed the problem, I think it is an ATI problem because my laptop has an Nvidia card and this problem doesn't have a problem. While my desktop has an ATI card and it's the one with the problem

Latest ATI drivers just installed (CCC 8.1, released a few days back).
Mouse pointer visual is about a cm or so below theactual active point... not quite sure how best to describe it. I have to place the pointer just below buttons to mouse-over them or just below where I want to click.
