I'm sure you can find a good use for Torque; everyone else here has.

The licenses for Torque are non-transferable. You're stuck with it, sorry.I'm sure you can find a good use for Torque; everyone else here has.

I cant use it for anything, i've moved on to another engine.
Man.. not only is this engine lacking, but once you find that out, your stuck with it.
I'm sure i could make something out of it, but one projects enough thanks.

Yeah, that hidden EULA right there on the product page, how nefarious...

Just out of curiosity, what engine did you move to?

Contact GG and see if they will let you transfer it. Worth a shot.Just out of curiosity, what engine did you move to?

It pays to read the EULA for software before you purchase it. With boxed software, you don't get the chance, but with online software it's usually right there.

Good Work.
It makes me curious as well, to have found a better engine.
and you are too poor to write off the money spent on this one.
I am skeptical, unless of course you selected Ogre or something.
but your skillset does not show the capability to deal with Torque, nevermind Ogre.
I am truly curious what engine you selected.

Well at least you do a top notch job researching stuff.Good Work.

Well it looks like Badguy is back with an extra touch of douche. Yay

Higher system requirements? Does he not understand that engines aren't good based on the requirements? Considering to run Torque takes little but you can make a game like GoW on it.
This guy doesn't understand this engine, as it is too had for him to learn how to make a real game in my opinion. He has probably gone to gamemaker or something.
And why would someone pay $221 for your $150 liscense?

Nah, I agree with Badguy. This dude spends money on something as Torque? Then doesn't even read the EULA?Higher system requirements? Does he not understand that engines aren't good based on the requirements? Considering to run Torque takes little but you can make a game like GoW on it.

That or GG has already pulled his license for EULA violation.
11/21/2007 (6:10 pm)
How's he selling the license? He doesn't have a license according to his profile, unless its TGB (or TGEA?).That or GG has already pulled his license for EULA violation.

Eula was the first thing I read.
11/22/2007 (7:48 am)
I made sure I researched this engine before I bought it. I made a topic ask a few questions. Read the Eula. I Used The Demo. Liked what I saw and bought it. What is so hard about that? Eula was the first thing I read.

Larry Ellis, you don't even own TGE. Check on his profile page, it says -none- under the "Notes" field. Had he actually owned TGE, then he would have -Torque SDK Owner- written there. Trying to scam some money, are you Larry?

I purchased TGEA quite some time ago, and if any of you continue to accuse me of scamming money by selling something i apparently dont own, then i will contact garage games, explain the situation and do whatever i can to get you in trouble for giving me a bad name. You in particular Taylor Petrick.
If you dont know anything for a fact, stfu.
Why would someone NOT try and sell something that they no longer use and could get some money back for?
If you didnt, then your an idiot.
I didnt read the EULA, who the fuck does? And for you dickheads who have read it and jumped into this thread to give me the hard word (that you wouldnt have the balls to in real life), a simple "sorry mate, it sates in the eula that you cant resell it", would have been sufficient.
Go back to building your mmorpg's.

Hey guys thanks for all the positive comments, this is one reason why i moved away from this community, cause your all a bunch of tools.I purchased TGEA quite some time ago, and if any of you continue to accuse me of scamming money by selling something i apparently dont own, then i will contact garage games, explain the situation and do whatever i can to get you in trouble for giving me a bad name. My wife says I'm a rake. I've often wondered what she means by that.

I've contacted GG before, if you own TGE or TGEA it would say on your profile page. It doesn't on yours. It doesn't on mine iether, because I don't own either.

And in fact it is also true for many boxed programs if you carefully read EULA. If you missed this point, go read again.

Hey Larry, looks to me like you were the one who started with the "positive comments". The community is better off without that sort of "productive criticism." Enjoy your new engine!

@Larry
... and you sir are a tool for creating this thread.
If somebody sells you their car, that doesn't make them your mechanic. You might seriously consider taking some math and science classes and then working towards a computer science degree so you can code your own engine or have the ability to build on a great engine like TGE/TGEA instead of counting on a community to code a complete engine to your specs.
I'm just calling this out for what it really is. Moving on.

I can see where, if unfamiliar with the licensing concept this could be a strange idea, but GG's EULA in most respects is close to being verbatim to most other engine's EULA's in this area.
Good luck!

Almost all engine's.. or software in general.. like music and movies, are not owned by the purchaser. What you purchase is the ability to use it, but it's not the same things as ownership. Even video games when you buy them in a store, you don't own the game on the disk, so you can't resell any of these things.
