Torque X Builder not working on Vista?

by Paul Bellezza · in Torque Developer Network · 10/25/2007 (12:53 pm) · 4 replies

I am currently running Windows Vista, and whenever I run Torque X Builder, it will give me the loading bar, but no splash screen. The program loads and then just sits there for a few minutes. Then I get a dialog that says "TXB.exe has stopped working." Is there any way to fix this?

I'm running it fine with Vista Business. Have to make sure that your video card drivers are up to date (not the ones that come with Vista). Also if you keep having trouble try running it under XP Service Pack 2 compatiability.

Yeah, I also tried running it under XP Service Pack 2 compatibility, but it didn't seem to make a difference. Neither did running it in administrator mode. I'm not sure about drivers, I'll try updating them, but I'm not sure it'll do anything.

EDIT: I checked for new drivers, and I think mine are up to date. I've also had this same problem when I try to run Determinance (Torque 3D game).

Did you check with the manufacturer or on Windows Updates? Always check with the manufacturer.
