Hi there,

Simon Castles of Castles Music Productions.
http://www.castlesmusic.co.nz/ - free sound FX, and music demo tracks.

I'm looking for contract work as either a music composer and/or sound designer with a motivated team or single-person developer.

I've experience with music styles ranging from modern dance music to 'cinematic' styled orchestral.
I have created sound effects ranging from the natural to demonic, from weapon and monster sounds through to environmental and mechanical.

Some of my most recent projects include: Barbie Beach Party, Barbie on Ice, Blastorama (Satellite Moon), BaseGolf (Lupine Games.)

I don't work for free, but I am flexible with payments, royalties etc. My main goal is to make sound for games - not make a million in one hit! (Although if offered I won't turn down the $million ;-)

Please feel free to check out my samples, both music and sound effects at my website:

Also, feel free to just drop a line to say hi - I don't charge for talking!!

Take care

Wow man, those are some butt kicking FX sounds on that site of yours. I'm just wondering, what are your prices? Like do you charge by per sound/music file basis? Do you accept just payments of royality percentage of game income?

Just questions really. I'm too poor to pay anyone for anywork, lol! :)

I feel that all most everyone here doesn't have the money to pay much... as we are here. Would I say that most would like a deal which is after the game is sold etc? e.g. shares?

Thanks for your quick replies - I normally charge per finished minute of music or per sound effect. But depending on budget, I also can work with royalties on profit from sales of the finished game.

Or, if the prospect is attractive, I might accept other things in return eg: artwork, website programming, serverspace, livestock etc.

It all depends on the project really - if it is a great idea and I have some time up my sleeve, I'd be keen to explore ways we can arrange a fair trade of resources/services.
