Annoyed with locked older resources.

I've been growing more and more annoyed with resources that I am denied access to because I have the latest Torque engine, and not an older copy... it seems illogical to block off older resources to new customers, right?

www.garagegames.com/index.php?sec=mg&mod=resource&page=view&qid=10357 is one example where my 1.5.2 TGE license won't allow me access. I realize these resources are older, and would probably need some cleanup. But hey, I'm just trying to read as much as I can to learn at this point.

Does anyone else have thoughts regarding this? With the majority of resources being so outdated it is quite hard finding example code from which to learn...

Are you sure you were logged in? I'm able to access all the TGE resources with no problems.

I'm logged in, I followed that link. I own 1.5.2

Sorry, this resource is only available to members who have purchased one of the following products:

* Torque Game Engine 1.4.2 - INDIE License

Award winning netcode, GUI editor, C-like scripting, full C++ source, seamless indoor-outdoor rendering, mission editor.
* Torque Game Engine 1.4.2 - COMMERCIAL License

TGE Commercial License allows you to make any type of commercial product with the Torque with no royalties for an unlimited number of products.

btw, I've heard that if you write support and ask them to fix your account so you can view that stuff, they will.

Thank you for the idea. I'll give it a shot.

I guess that's because of the upgrade one has to pay between 1.4.x and 1.5.x. It seems that isn't well encoded in the access database. 1.5.x ownership should grant you 1.4.x access too.
