How do I fix this texturing problem?

by Perishingflames · in Constructor · 10/07/2007 (8:11 am) · 4 replies

I can never seem to prevent this from happening when I make curves: it stretches some of the texturing as you can see on the half pipe. Unify and world make it okay in majority of it, but have the texturing problem and align to face just screws it up worse.

Any help?

The way the texturing works, is it picks a plane to apply the texture along, then all curves and everything are seen as a flat surface, that a texture is applied to. So 90 degree brushes get only one dimension of color. If you select the faces that you want evenly textured, and click the "World" preset on the face menu, they should all be equal.

Thanks, but I did that and no luck.

I'm having the same problem here. Did you ever find a solution for this?

It seems like Constructor doesn't have many tools for aligning textures on faces of different orientations, if you see what I mean. How are we meant to line up textures on a half-pipe like that?

You do it one face at a time.
