Starter.fps port how to guide

by Joseph Euan · in Torque Game Engine Advanced · 09/08/2007 (8:23 am) · 3 replies

Hi all

I did a port of the TGE 1.5 starter.fps pack to TGEA 1.0.3 a few days ago.

I was going to just upload the files for people to download.. but because I wasen't sure about giving out all the files (just in case people that don't own TGE 1.5 use them)

I've made a quick "how to" on porting the starter.fps pack over.

You can find it here garagegames.com/index.php?sec=mg&mod=resource&page=view&qid=13534

I've gone over it, and done the port a few times based on the info and it works each time.

As the resource says.. there will be bugs/missing files ect.. but I will keep updating it with what I find and what suggetions people make.

All suggestions and comments are welcome...

Questions..

Is it easy to follow?
Is the layout correct?

Thanks

Joseph

I've been told by Nick Eaket that the "How To" also works for the TGE 1.4.2 starter pack.

I'm also going to take a guess and say it should also work with the starter.racing pack as well.

The easy part is the conversion of the starter.kits. The time consuming part is nail down the missing parts from the TGE engine and port them to TGEA :/
