Will someone at GG please look into the login for TDN?

You will need to be much more descriptive than that. I just "looked into the login", and I logged in successfully with no issue.

What specifically is your problem?

Well...

I don't have the page anymore and maybe 15 minutes after I posted it just started working again. It came back with some equally non-descript error message this morning around 09:20 EDT.

My assumption is the wiki login failed because it couldn't connect to whatever you have on the backend for authentication. (It failed for both a pass-through attempt like a shot from the forums to the tdn and the tdn main login link).

I'll hit my back button a bunch to see if there's anything but it's working now...

Steven,
I tried to connect to the TDN, but its not working: It said it was taking to long to load.

As it turns out we had some very intermittent issues yesterday morning, and when I tested TDN login upon reading the thread, it didn't happen to me.

Things appear to have cleared up after noon or so yesterday, but if you continue to have issues, please let us know.

I can't login at the moment. Hitting the TDN login button just gives a blank page. Has happened a couple of times for me in the last 12hrs

This happens to me sporadically. I usually have to clear my web cache/cookies, or try opening in another browser. Try logging into the GG site first, then try logging into TDN. Once you have attempted to log into TDN, click on one of the links to it from the Documentation pages here on this site.

Same here, It appears to be resolving the DNS fine, then it attempts to redirect to wiki/reply.php?result=1&".....ect" which is where its hanging.

Give it a try now. TDN appears to be back up. It's not stable, and the life of TDN is in doubt right now.

Are you saying you're planning on taking it down permanently? Because me and my team who have just begun using Torque for a few days now find it incredibly useful.

TDN as it exists right now is unstable, insecure, an unorganized mess, and often cited as a negative feature for Torque Tech.

As we speak, there are people currently sorting the good docs from the bad docs into lists. The outdated or unfinished articles are going to be archived and buried. The docs worth saving are going to be updated and isolated.

What happens after that is still unknown. By saying unknown, I mean I'm not sure how we will roll out the usable content.

Will you put the outdated ones somewhere for volunteers to update?

If volunteers wanted to update them, they would probably have done so by now. Been numerous invitations for support for over a year now. I'm mostly referring to the most outdated or incomplete articles. It's a judgment call being made by the people who have volunteered.

I have to agree some.. I mean TDN is a place full of some good help here, and then it trails off. I have every intention to help supply a lot of documentation and help.. once I myself understand things better. But things needed to start better, in order for a resource such as TDN to work. You really need to start at ground zero, and write up catagories for each article and then fill in the blanks. This was sorta attempted with TDN but failed from what I can see.

I really like the direction GG is going how ever. It appears much more thought is going into the post production of their software. Which is a huge plus, that alone is worth the increase in price for better resources and more obtainable information.

As a fellow newbie I guess, I look forward to seeing better documentation and help along with hopefully being able to provide some myself.

Thanks,
Tyler

Been following this trail of threads about TDN login problems or mine specifically which is I own the RTS pack but I can not access the RTS documentation on TDN.

Is this going to be fixed or is there something GG or I can do to reacquire access to the RTS documentation?

I can see the rest of TDN it is just a problem with the RTS stuff.

thanks.
