Joystick questions

I have a usb joystick gamepad. i noticed that "dark horizonz lore" the game has a very flexible joystick control system.
my gamepad has 10 buttons, 1 arrows pad and 2 "sticks". It is exactly the same as the 360 controller exept its a pc version. how can i use this gamepad in my game.
also is it possible to control the camera (like you do with the mouse), with one of the sticks.
i would prefer to make this through script.
can anyone help me
