Microsoft Photosynth

Photosynth takes a large collection of photos of a place or object, analyzes them for similarities, and displays them in a reconstructed 3-Dimensional space.

There was another company that was doing this a while back. They had a special offer for Lightwave 8 upgrades, I believe--I don't think it was 9. But it worked with Max and Maya and XSI as well. I wonder if they got gobbled up and repackaged or if this is a similar application. Either way, it's damn cool!
