Hitboxes (Davide Archetti's resource)

I've integrated this resource and the engine compiles all right. However, even using a character with working hitboxes (I checked its HBIndex array to make sure), the hitboxes won't collide. The call to castRayEA in Player::castRay seems to be always returning false, but I don't know why - most of the code in there is incomprehensible to me. I've checked it over and my code is the same as what's in the resource.
