Hi,
does Arcane FX AFX run out of the box with TGE 1.5.2? Are there detailled instructions on how to install/merge provided? Sorry i ask here, but i did not find a better place to ask.

Cheers

The current version of AFX (1.0.2) is distributed pre-merged with TGE 1.5.2. Basically you get everything in the TGE 1.5.2 distribution plus AFX. As you say, it "runs out of the box".

I have to say you also get great support from Jeff on keeping AFX up to date with the latest release of TGE and can't recommend the product enough.

Arcane FX is by far and away the best add-on pack for Torque. Hands down.

I too will have to recommend the AFX pack as a purchase in addition to TGE. It is a wonderful bit of technology that can be used for much more than RPG type games, although it definitely can help give that type of game quite a boost.

Also, as Andy had mentioned, Jeff is one of the best people on these forums for support. He really does excel at it.

In short, buy it... you won't regret it!

I bought it ;-). Looks very promising and install really was a breeze...and the docs are fantastic!! Now i just need to find a way to merge in the modernization kit and then i am all set ;-).

Yes as a result of another thread I bought the afx package and I really regret not doing it sooner. I had thought it just a simple spell package but now that I read through all the docs I see just how powerfull it is.
