You all realize that, as humans, we have inhrently been given the ability to ignore people, right? (I don't view threads that have 65 posts within 24 hours, it's an obvious flame war. :-D)

hehe rjp, I thought it was an interesting debate. Ah well...
and the ignore button would be useful although probably very painful to implement.

Yes... I agree with Ryan. No one is force to read or reply. :)

I think if one of the GG guys would have deleted the thread then it would have just fueled the fire more. He'd probably make a new one saying how he must be right because they deleted that message.

It's probably good to ask questions sometimes to keep things in check, but this guy is either just out for GG blood or in the mood for a fight.

I was going to write what Ryan already said.

Should I apologise to everyone for being in the mood for arguing and for pulling someone's leg?

Oh well, sometimes a good barfight is good for the soul.

1) Havning a 'ignore this person/moron' button largely simplify the ignoring job. It makes permenant ignore one click away.
2)It also works as a deterrent. If any one trying to be stupid, (s)he will have to risk being ignored forever.

If this doesn't work, then just add another button 'ignore any person who is on the same team as this person'. that should work :)

Haha

Quote:ignore any person who is on the same team as this person

Now that sounds like fun. At the very least, and 'ingnore this person' button would be better for productivity. :)

Beyond all belief that thread ended up with some very good insight... obviously, not for/from a certain individual... but he's not the important one...

I am usually good when it comes to weenies... other times it is impossible to resist. Hell, I haven't been called Joshy since I got into a fight in third grade. Best chuckle in awhile :)

My brother was suspended for two days in elementary school for saying: "Papa smurf" as an insult to a kid who was a few years older than him and saying some rather insulting things about our mother. Of course, he got the same punishment...

Our principal was the kind of person who saw any name calling as bad name calling.

Heh, Papa smurf... funny stuff.

Can we get ignore by hostname, too? I'm thinking *.aol.com. ;-)

Why don't you just not read the post to whoever you don't want to read...

@Jason: Because it's too tempting to pull his leg and watch him make a fool of himself. It gives me my sorely needed daily dose of humour.

I actually have the ultimate "ignore this person" button with the admin features of the site. You'll all be happy to know that I just pushed that button.
