I was just wondering if Constructor 1.0.3 got put on hold, due to the new TGB release coming?

I'm assuming that the only thing that relates TGB and constucter is that they both have to go through QA, so if TGB was put in the queue for QA then yes that would take knock back the release of 1.0.3. Otherwise I can't see how constructer would be affected, I assume thats is two different teams inside of GG.
On another note didn't 1.0.2 just come out? Whats being changed for 1.0.3?

GG dont comment on these questions unfortunately... you'll just hav to be patient.

I was unable to finish up the changes I wanted in until the end of last week (better support for the PathedInterior resource). This week I am quite busy helping to run a special Bootcamp (you guys are going to be very happy when you hear about it ;).

Fortunately the delay has allowed me to have the time to get Jaimi's Extrude plugin in as well!

I am hoping to hand it off to the QA department on Friday and it will get into the queue (it only needs a short test cycle since it is a handful of minor bugfixes and improvements).

Sounds like you guys need to get a bigger QA department with all the upgrades that are going on atm! Keep up the good work ;)

Matt; We really appreciate the hard work you guys are doing in our behalf. I feel like I have the greatest crew of programmers in the world to work with right here in these forum's. Yes we want the PathedInteriors goodies and really appreciate your work there. Our whole team really wants windows/transparencies. So we are patient. Since the release of Constructor our Artists feel like they finally have a tool they can work with. Now we need the same tools for creating DTSs. Has anyone talked about that?
Once again thanks!

P.S. Every change in Constructor triggers an update of the engine. Is this happening again?

I did discover a *minor* bug in the engine related to Constructor (sort of) that I will be posting in the bug section of the forums. It isn't worth doing a full engine update yet.

Hmm... either I am looking in wrong place or Constructor version downloadable from site still shows 1.0.1. v. Is that just a description/ titlebar problem or is there some secret link to get most recent version ? :)

Hey Marcin--good to see you :)

Since Constructor is now free, the best place to download it is directly from the Developer's Store, in case you were trying elsewhere:

Constructor Product Page. I just checked, it's 1.02 (for windows at least).

Now now... Either I will start to believe in ghosts or that's Stephen. Long time mate ... and both of us all the time working with Torque it seems :)

I actually re- downloaded app today and- although downloaded app installer has. 1.02 in name, after installing and launching it name shown on on top bar is 1.01. Not something terribly important but made me wonder...

Matt: All I can say is yea! I have been messing around with the 3 versions, but can finally stand still. We still need windows and transparencies and that's why I have been jumping around from version to version. I want to thank you guys for the hard work. We have been here since TGE 1.3 and can finally say the engine feels like a sports car. Handles smooth for the first time. I have done this kind of work for a long time and you can feel the difference driving.

Matt, do you know if 1.0.3 of Constructor may be released soon? I am designing some levels and portals are not fully functional yet (but you said it would be in 1.0.3) and some brushes don't have any collision, which has been discussed in another forum. I know that GG is very busy with all sorts of stuff, but was just curious if this was going to be coming out very soon.

We are anxiously awaiting its arrival!!!

Matt - Thanks for the bug fix link :) Could you tell us when you or some other member of GG will look into portals problem?

Is there any news on when portals will be fixed?
I know GG is very busy with so many other things but (I hope) portals being fixed would be near the top of the list.

If there is another post/or forum that has news on this .. could someone post a link here. Its been a month with no update or info??? That I can find. ;(

Thanks,

Also, is there any chance that my texture problem can be fixed in 1.0.3? I can send you my console.log and albums.db file (the one that is in a non-loading copy of constructor after it crashed when trying to add textures from a folder into constructor) if necessary.
