What is TGBX?

by Kiyaku · in Torque X 2D · 06/14/2007 (4:36 am) · 5 replies

Hi,
i was just looking for informations about Torque X and found out that you need TGBX instead of TGB for it.

So i was wondering, what exactly is TGBX and where can i find it? Does it work with the "normal" TGB too? Or is it the Pro Version?

Sorry if someone allready postet this but i couldn't find any informations so far.

We actually just renamed it to Torque X Builder (TXB) because the name was too confusing. It's TGB (the 2D engine) modified to build 2D content for Torque X. This includes importing art assets, creating and editing objects and components, exporting scenes, etc. A 30-day trial of TGBX is included in the free Torque X beta installer (on the Torque X product page) and until we release Torque X you will be able to activate it with a normal TGB activation code.

When torque x is released, will we have to buy a new activation code or will our TGB code still work?

Actually, the TGB code won't work, but you will get a new one that does.
