Can multiplayer games be made with TGE or do u have to purchase TNL ??

What exactly is TNL... I know it's supposedly like the OpenSource Tribes2, but I would like a GREATER understanding, that a 10 year old or 120 year old man can use...

As I understand it, TNL is the networking guts that were (more or less) behind tribes 1/2 and most Torque powered games. Some version of TNL is already built into TGE and TGEA. TNL would be useful for someone wanting Torque networking capabilities in another engine. I may be a little off on the details, but that's the basic idea of TNL. Hopefully someone will correct me if I've misrepresented things.

So it's the stuff powering that 128 players in one server thing, and masterserver crap...?

You can potentially have a lot more than 128 players if you game is built for it (some of the test with TNL on Zap had close to a 1000 players).Quote:masterserver crap...
