TGB Mentor Requested

Okay, I've run through all the TGB tutorials available on TDN, or at least those which still work with the current release (most of the ones I was interested are horribly outdated). Despite what I have actually learned, I am not much closer to having a clue how to start my desired project (http://www.garagegames.com/blogs/38822/12872).

I've read through the documentation as best as I could understand, but again am still no closer to a clue.
Now I know this is going to make me seem like a total newb, but I need some help here.

I'm willing to hire someone to help 'mentor' me in the ways of TGB and pointing me in the right way to learn how to do what I want to do.
I'm *not* asking for someone to do the work for me, just to help me learn how to do it myself with examples or tutorials applied to my specific hurdles. I am willing to pay, though my budget it a little limited so we'll need to negotiate.

I'll just end here before I ramble even more than I have. Hope to hear from someone!
Later!

Last Straw Productions does tutoring on practically all engines, so shoot me a message at jonathon@last-straw-games.com and we can discuss it further.

I know from experience that the documentation is far from perfect and it gives a lot of grief at the beginning, but if you have developed for other platforms before, you'll find that writing games on TGB is basically the same thing. I would suggest that you post on the forums about the things that are giving you more trouble, you'll see that after a while you'll be able to figure out TGB by yourself.
