I would recommend this book. I worked with Bennie at GDC in the 4 games in 4 days (crazy Germans built a full 3D game with custom shaders and leveling system, etc. in 4 days all from scratch)

I had several discussions about the book with him and it sounds like a good read.

I've heard some things about how this book has a steep learning curve. Can anybody who's read it (or is reading it) tell us about how difficult the book is? I'm slightly fluent in C# now, but no expert. Thanks.

I have some issues with the book but I'm working through them.

I'm not a big fan of when people spend more time talking about there take on things like unit testing and agile programming more then they talk about the programming itself.

I'm not that far into it yet but so far I'm finding the pacing wierd and not very descriptive.
It's seems to be more like write the code i put down and i'll explain a little bit of what's going on.

But l have learned some tips and tricks along withother sites that I didn't know about. I hope it get's better.

Just my take on it.
