Is sphere tool broken?

Whenever I try to make a sphere, it never gets out of the "creating" mode. If I hit Return or switch tools, the bounding box just disappears.
Am I doing something wrong?

On the pc it's pretty bugged. You need to reduce the faces/segments down to say 4x, 6x or 8x, then go back the the amount you want. If you try and drawn a 24+ segment x 24+ segment sphere it won't go through, does exactly what your saying, not to mention large segs in small areas is a major no-no :)

What I wouldn't give for a DIF output from POV-RAY.
Thanks!

Actually...I only had sides set to 12, and segments to 6. That is too hardcore?

No, it's not... you can create a sphere with 24x24 or more depending on it's output size. But as i said sometimes you have to set it back to say 6x6 or 4x4 to get the sphere to show, then switch back to the amount you want.

Man that didn't even work for me. Going up to 24x24 I mean..Constructor just hangs.

That worked for me... :)
The sphere tool could still use an overhaul though.
I've had spheres disappear on me with default settings and using shift. (first try on a new project)
I hope constructor development will receive future updates past 1.0.51, it's such a powerful an underrated tool.

No problems here. Have to try on my P.C at home.
