Sounds for your games

I have just set up a new website where you can find free sounds (Creative Commons licensed), all created by myself but free for anyone to use and abuse. Theres a few gun sounds and arcade powerup sounds and a couple of soundtracks at the moment, but if anyone shows an interest I can do some custom sounds. Its only a new site but I expect to put something new on there once a week, or whenever I make something.
Check out http://www.soundportfolio.com if you're interested. This isn't a service I am selling, all the sounds are freely available for use in commercial as well as freeware projects. I'd also like some feedback and suggestions for new sounds.
BTW the latest T2D looks great! I have followed the development since the original EA release, and I am sorely tempted to make a simple arcade game... now to find the time...

I just thought I'd let you know that I've been heavily using your sounds/music in a beta/demo version of my game ("Xeno Versus" as it's dubbed at the moment). I don't know if I'll keep for the final version or not, but I can't emphasize enough how much it's helped me get the game to a point where it's almost ready for (public?) beta testing. Your work is highly appreciated! When the beta is sent out to people, your name is in the beginning credits/splashes. :)

Thank you very much for the positive feedback and I am thrilled that my stuff has been helpful to you and others out there in the gaming community.
Xeno Versus looks great, in fact Star Control 2 was my favorite game of all time when I was in high school and I've waited a long time to see something positive done with the format.
Any chance I can get to see the beta? ;)

You're welcome. Absolutely you can see the beta. It really is right now sort of a show piece for all your sounds. I'm trying to polish it up right now. Then it starts going off to a few private contacts before a public viewing. Your email work ok?

Will you be releasing Xeno Versus commercially? It looks pretty good quality.

Looks good. I'll email you a link when it's ready. Should be sometime this week. I don't want to derail your thread with talks about my game, but I'll say that my goal is some sort of commercial release. But honestly I'm doing it just because I love this style of game and really just want to make the best "space melee" game out there. So if it turns out great but free, I'll still be happy. :)

My first impression when I saw the screen shots was "Wow thats pretty good - The quality of the artwork is very professional". So I think whatever you decide to do with it you have done very well indeed.

Sites Down due to exceeded bandwidth, considering that these posts are over five years old will it even come back up?

I've been working on two projects since starting Sound Portfolio. One of them is Droneswarm which is a TGB game (theres a demo which uses some of my generic sounds on this forum, by Conor O'kane), the other is UFO-AI which is an open source project inspired by the old UFO series of games.
Theres another project in the works, but we're still in negotiations and it's likely to remain confidential until the project is complete.
Lately I've been playing with some new music libraries. I've finally gotten hold of EastWest Quantum Leap Symphonic Orchestra, which has some very nice orchestra samples (14Gb of the darn things!). I guess I'll have something new to put on the site very soon.
