Map2dif question

by Laurence Grant · in Constructor · 04/10/2007 (5:57 am) · 2 replies

I noticed on the file menu there are numerous export options. Some are obvious enough (ie: dif vs tgea dif) However, I don't get what the map2dif option would be used for? If I'm already in CONSTRUCTUR, then in memory isn't it in the native CONSTRUCTOR format already? If so, then wouldn't I just export directly to dif or tgea dif?

Thanks

The new Dif exporter isn't compatable yet with TGEA so they have to have the legacy dif exporter for time being. TGE was the same way but they got thier update already.

Map2dif is there both as an example of a command line script being run from constructor (in theory you could set up export scripts from other engines similarly.) It also still supports some DIF features that direct to dif does not, yet (to be remedied soon.)
