Mirrors

Hoi!
Well, first off, thanks to GG for releasing this great tool for free!
How do you add mirrors? I created a cube, created a Mirror entity and placed it right on the surface I want, export as DIF, placed in TGE 1.5.1 but no mirror :(.

Mirrors and zones/portals will not be supported until we release Constructor 1.0.1

So if we add in portals now... are they even added into the .dif or just completely ommitted all together?

You can still use the map2dif_plus export to get them into the engine (and mirrors).

If you add portals in right now and export with Export As DIF..., Export As Legacy DIF..., or Export As Legacy TGEA DIF then it will completely ommit them.You can still use the map2dif_plus export to get them into the engine (and mirrors).

In that case is that possible to have portals and baked dts ?

Using map2dif_plus means that we won't have the baked dts, will we ?In that case is that possible to have portals and baked dts ?

Once the direct exporter has portal capabilities added, this will be possible.

Marcel: at this time having both is not possible on the same .dif because no exporter supports both simultaneously.Once the direct exporter has portal capabilities added, this will be possible.

How long will it take to have both, is a 4 months time frame realistic ?
I want to know to see if I'll have the difficult choice to tell which I will take away from our game :(

Cool, but what is wrong with all my QUARK maps that they dont work right? Even anything i make in Constructor LESS the most simple cubic shapes? I need DETAIL and PORTAL.

The portals are in-progress and will be in the next update for Constructor (along with the mirrors).

Sorry Matt, they DO NOT work correctly- as i mention in better detail in above link (link is now fixed),

probably a bug on how it exports... that or i just have incredibly bad luck with difs (for the last year)
