How to load in new textures

I've already seen a post trying to figure this out, and the assumed way adding textures to Constructor works doesn't.. work.
The problem seems to be that it's unwilling to import textures which aren't already in its "textures" directory. So, you just need to open up the directory you installed to (by default it goes to "Program Files\Torque\Constructor"), find the "textures" directory, and put all your textures in there somewhere (for example, I made a "cpack" directory for all the TA stuff, and a couple other directories for my textures). You should then be able to add them with no problem.
You may, however, find that there's a bit of lag when loading the texture thumnails if you dump the entire TA content pack into one "album," probably because they're all 512x512 and it's processing them for thumnails every time you look at the index. Unless your computer is fast enought that you're not noticing it, I'd suggest cutting the pack up into multiple albums. Those of you with more modern systems might not have to do this, but for me it was unreasonable to wait 5-10 seconds every time I look at the thumnail index.

The chosen file is not a recognized texture format: ''
I mistakenly assumed that the program simply refused to import textures from anywhere outside its "textures" directory, as this was the second case I tried. The textures themselves are identical (I've just copied my entire texture directory into the Constructor install). The directory on my other drive is "D:\torque\interiorTextures\", however I have tried importing JPGs from other locations on that drive with the same results.

Hey, I did another test with this after my initial assumptions. It would seem that the problem is that Constructor is refusing to import textures from a drive that it's not installed on. Importing from the same disk (in this case, C:) works fine, however importing from D:, a second HDD, results in the error:The chosen file is not a recognized texture format: ''

Ah OK. Thanks for the additional information. We'll have to look into it.- LightWave Dave

What method were you using to add textures to Constructors albums? From the Texture Browser it should be possible to create a new album and then import by either single texture or a directory of textures anywhere on your hard drive.
Could you perhaps give an example of a full directory pathway you're having trouble with and indicate how the problem is manifesting itself?
Thanks.
