Video playback on Mac?

I've tried both the guiAvi and guiTheora controls for video playback but I get an error:unknown command play for guiAvi, and guiTheora crashes.

AVI will not work as the resource (which you will have to implement and update) is DirectShow only, which is tied to Windows. How are you using Theora?
