TGE tutorial Issue

So i was going through the tutorial tonight and i get through the GUI section i hit the start button and i get a waiting for server message and nothing happens, the game does not load. i went through the tutorial step by step again looking for the point were i can no longer open my mission and i came to the point were i group the building and logo objects in a sim group it seems that once i finish dragging each object to the sim group folder the mission will no longer open up it freezes on the waiting for server dialog. please help im getting real frustrated
