New here. Saying hi

by Brad K. · in General Discussion · 03/11/2007 (12:40 pm) · 13 replies

Hi, i'm new here and to programming altogether. I just finished the very first tutorial for the "torque demo" and it looks cool. I have a friend here, (Called Javagamer on the IRC) so I am not comepletly without help. I'm not even in 8th grade yet and I just started programming 2 days ago so I just wanted to say i'm new and hope to be making cool stuff eventually. Hope this is the right place to put this.

Heya Brad. I've not been here much longer than yourself, so I still know the "noob" feeling. Don't worry though; this place has some great supporters and awesome people in the community. It's a cinch to jump into the forums and start getting to know people; or you can post a blog and write down everything from project specs to mindless mental meanderings. Either way, what I've seen so far myself has been wonderful, and I'm sure you'll fit in wonderfully. Welcome aboard.

Ahh, thank you everyone. I feel so welcome already. I just need to wait until I get my new laptop, then I can be programming more often.

Remember, Tim Aste is not someone to poke at. When he enters a thread, you don't say a WORD.

Welcome.

Aye - you got some pretty nice people around here, so get used to the feeling ^^ If you have questions, check around the forums in case someone has already asked the question [many people will thank you] and if you do pose a question or idea, there are plenty of people here to give ideas, feedback, insight, encouragement, and more. ^_^
