Has anyone still got the GORPE source somewhere?

Hiya,
I am looking for anyone that might have a codedrop of the Terrain Manager GORPE (does not matter what version) and if you would be willing to upload it somewhere convinient. If you know that you got it but you do not know where, then I am willing to pay you if you can spare some time looking for it.
Thanks in advance.

I was almost certain I had it somewhere on my HD or some backup CD still, but my search wasn't successful... I've only found another TerrainManager for TGE... what do you need it for?

I tried looking in my archives but did not find it either. Sorry.

I am just interested to look at the code and see if I can reimplement it into 1.4. It is not very likely, but perhaps I could get some ideas by looking at it.

Yup. It's a TGE Terrain management package from back in the day.

Afaik, it was for V12 engine and it's REALLY old and not compatible at all with TGE1.3+ release. And again AFAIK no one supports it, and no one was able to make it "work" finally.

The version I had was Terrainmanager(18) your welcome to it buts its old and the only problem was a ghosting issue or something but all the files are intact. I know later versions exist up to version 20 but I never got those. I emailed to your public email Stefan.

Gorpe is 246 MB, so it would need to be uploaded somewhere.

I just found a version of Gorpe. I knew I had saved it somewhere, but it took a while to find it. It's on the same disk as Crimeforce, what a great demo that was. :)Gorpe is 246 MB, so it would need to be uploaded somewhere.

EDIT:
Just noted that it would make it publicly available if it were on MediaMax and published. Hmmm...
Pass me a link to download it and I'll see what I can do.

Try something like MediaMax. That's what John Romero's been using for his uploads. I've been using the free service and not had a problem.EDIT:

@Stefan - I use to have the one of the last versions of the Terrain Manager GORPE, even ported it to 1.4 TGE and made mods. Just hated trying to keep it updated with GG making lots of changes back then. I might have the original or even my modded stuff still. I am sure it's around someplace so I will look when I get home.

I could host the file if no one else can

I am currently working with build 16 of the TTM but I guess a more recent version would not hurt. There are a few bugs with the texture painter and castRayBlock () in the older revisions.
Edit: WillBCool, ~200Mb's sounds too much for GORPE alone. What version would that be?

I'd like a copy of whatever someone has as well, e-mail works. I can host it for more people.

If anyone wants to take a look or if you think you can use these archives, be my guest. Below are links to both. They are guaranteed to stay up until early June 2007.
Torque Terrain Manager Build 6
GORPE Build 18
I would not have got these files without the help of Johnny Hill and another user who preferred to stay anonymous, you guys rock! Thank you.

I have decided not to port TTM or GORPE to any of the newest incarnations of the Torque engines. It is simply too much work to integrate the patches to be worth it, and the code is (at times) a mess. Stephen Zepp already said so in a previous thread a few years ago, but I guess I had to find out myself and prove my stubborness wrong. If anyone wants to take a look or if you think you can use these archives, be my guest.
