Help with general tutorial
by Sander Van Leth · in Torque in Education · 02/28/2007 (6:46 am) · 7 replies
I post this here because i could not find a more appropriate area.
After thouroughly following the general tutorial (pdf) twice I encountered a problem.
After adding the scripts part of the tutorial, the mouse view movement seems to stop functioning altoghether.
What may cause this problem?

I personally have never seen the 'Torque in Education Public Forum' until today.
Also try to give a little more info on your problem. "After adding the scripts part of the tutorial" exactly when does this happen, what scripts, and in what tutorial, and what engine are you using.

Will's vitriolic posts are old, counter productive, and are saturated with "Do your job which includes doing my job for me."
For every one of those posters, you have 10 of us who have learned the engine and never once blamed GG for our shortcomings. I have received help directly from GG employees and associates, and even more help from my community peers.
@Temasek - I take it you ran across this post looking for a solution to something. Need some help?

@Temasek - He is not a former employee of GG. I don't think I've ever seen a disgruntled word from any ex-GG employee. Will's vitriolic posts are old, counter productive, and are saturated with "Do your job which includes doing my job for me."

To answer you problem, when you save your playGUI.gui after that part of the tutorial, for some unknown reason it deletes the line "noCursor = "1";" from it. Just put that back in your playGUI.gui right after the line that say forceFOV = "0"; and it should work again.
