TGEA starter.kits (Download)

Hi there,

I have done a "alpha" port of Starter.Fps and Starter.Racing from TGE 1.4.2 to TGEA ms4.2
This is plain port without any TGEA eyecandy features but i think it can be a good starting template
anyways i thought i should share it and please post any issues you might find in this thread and
i will look into ti it.

Known issues.
No speedometer in the racing kit yet.
No leaves


Installation.
Unzip in to your TGEA ms4.2 example folder
In main.cs change $defaultGame to starter.fps

Download:
Starter.Fps
Starter.Racing

Release will be up this weekend. Have been doing business abroad and have had no time to finalize the kits.

Has someone tried to put water in starter.race demo?

It just crashes when I put one =(

Quick question ... are the files in the first post fixed with everyones ideas and such for TGEA 1.01 or should I do it manually?

I am still working on the updates.... Due to heavy workload on other projects i am will post smaller updates insteed of a final release.

Its almost finnished.. But my goal was starter.fps, starter.racing, starter.rts + bonus.

Oh really I didn't even know the starter rts had been ported to 1.4 much less 1.5 or TGEA.

so obviously the user will have to have a license for the original Starter.RTS right?

So what you think realisticly about a month to get them all done?

email me if you need some help testing or what ever or if you need any art assets.

I will go buy the RTS starter if need be.

PS: great work porting the flight game example to TGEA!

From my experience, do smaller updates more often. People will appreciate the constant work.

So how can I use the RTS kit? Do I buy the 1.4 version from GG then use your update?

Some of the RTS kit has been done excluding the minimap and selection circles on atlas.

Cool, how do I get it to work? How do I compile TGEA? Sorry kinda of anoob with TGEA and dont like the other documentation site they made. Forgot whats it's called.

You open the solution and build it.

But to do so, a few requirements must be met:

Windows Platform SDK must be installed
DirectX SDK Feb 07 or newer must be installed
