Interiors crashing game, DV files?

Okay well basically everytime I try to put an interior in the game with the world editor it crashes even with interiors I know should work. Also all my .dif files say that they are DV files which apparently stands for digital video or something but they still say whatever.dif but in the properties section it says they are dv files and it is pretty confusing and all I really want to do is get a simple test interior in game and I need some help because I have no clue why this is happening. The dv thing has something to do with quicktime apparently which i unfortunatley installed this morning and quickly removed in hopes of returning my .dif files to their normal state. Sigh. Hopefully someone knows what is wrong.
Thanks,

I checked the console log and saw there were like two or 3 textures missing so I put them in but still had the same problem and it doesnt make sense to me because like I can go into a map that has the interior in it from the start and the map loads fine and all but then when I try to put in the interior it crashes. And also I put all the textures for the interior in the same folder as the .dif file.

You need to remove quicktime from your computer then the map will convert to dif format. I believe their is bug in quicktime that cause this, it does not happen all the time.

Okay well that was of course much simpler than it seemed, apparently something to do with vertex lighting, anywho thanks for the help, problem SOLVED.

So, just because Windows *thinks* the file is some sort of video file does not mean it will cause any problems to torque or any other application.

Windows uses a file's extension to determine what application to use to open a file (ie, what type of file it is). It has nothing to do with the actual file type and is often wrong. That said, it has no effect on the use of a misidentified file type. So, just because Windows *thinks* the file is some sort of video file does not mean it will cause any problems to torque or any other application.

model into your own somewhatname folder inside the interiors folder.

Well anyways i had this problem but its because you need to place all the textures in the interiors folder and the model into your own somewhatname folder inside the interiors folder.
