Blender .dif exporter?

by Ethan Groves · in General Discussion · 01/18/2007 (8:31 am) · 3 replies

I've made several searches on this subject, but I haven't found any answers to my questions.

My question has 3 parts:
-Is there a .dif exporter for Blender?
-(If yes) Does it work on a mac?
-(if yes) Is there a tutorial on how to make .dif files?

I don't want to ask too much, just point me in the right direction.
Thanks in advance,
Ethan

(I saw the "Tool: Blender to .map to .dif" resource, but I haven't been able to figure out how to use it.)

*Sorry about the double post...*

Out of the millions of people that have tried Blender, only three claim to have figured out how to use it, and I'm fairly certain two of them are lying.

So don't feel bad that you couldn't figure out to use it. If it concerns Blender, then its like one of those super complicated puzzles some people like to do. A few people might have the time and patiences to try to figure it all out, and even fewer might actually do so, but I'm certainly not one of them.

Does anyone know of a simple free .map to .dif converter out there? I remember googling around before, but kept hitting broken links.

Map2Dif ships with Torque... It is also available for download on the artists' page.

If you find a blender .map exporter which creates valid Valve220 (or Quake/2/3--without curved surfaces) map files, you should be able to use it.
