Blender .dif exporter?

by Ethan Groves · in Game Design and Creative Issues · 01/18/2007 (8:25 am) · 1 replies

I've made several searches on this subject, but I haven't found any answers to my questions.

My question has 3 parts:
-Is there a .dif exporter for Blender?
-(If yes) Does it work on a mac?
-(if yes) Is there a tutorial on how to make .dif files?

I don't want to ask too much, just point me in the right direction.
Thanks in advance,
Ethan

(I saw the "Tool: Blender to .map to .dif" resource, but I haven't been able to figure out how to use it.)

You will have to use the .map exporter (though I am not sure what version it is at, how stable, etc since I haven't used Blender in a long time). Once you have a valid map file, you would use map2dif to create the DIF.

DIF's are actually compiled map files, so you need to work with the uncompiled format first, which is a valid map file.

I do not know if the map extension works on a map. There are also several threads about map2dif on the Mac.

You can find a lot of information on creating maps on TDN.
