Tgbx Is A Cpu Hog

Hey,
I've noticed that my laptop fan goes wild when I run TGBX. I'm running a Windows laptop with a Core Duo CPU and 1GB RAM. I checked the task manager and 1 CPU is fully utilised by TGBX.
Is this normal?
Should I expect the same resource usage on the non-beta version?
Thanks,
T

TGBX is a hog on my system as well using average of 45 - 50% of my processor when it doesn't even have focus (so I'm obviously not doing anything with it)I have 3 gigs of RAM and a 3 gig proc.

The latest version of TGBX basically turns completely off when you minimize it. That should help with testing levels (i.e. not having to close TGBX to get decent performance in TorqueX, or whatever else).

Ah! I'm one of those people who never minimize anything. I just bring other things to the foreground. Is there a difference in focus between losing focus and being minimized?

The thing to keep in mind is TGBX isn't a traditional application. It is built off of a game engine, so it will use as much cpu as it can get when it has focus.

Yea, why not put the code to 'basically turn itself off' into the bit that detects if it lost focus? Would be a much greater place to have it since I'm like Ben in that I never minimize stuff! Since I'm the most important one, do it MY way! j/j ;)
