Corrupted/incomplete download

I downloaded the torque 1.5 demo and i couldn't open it. The message:
the installer you are trying to use is corrupted or incomplete
This could be the result of a damaged disk, a failed download or a virus.
You may want to contact the author of this installer to obtain a new copy.
It may be possible to skip this check using the /ncrc command line switch
(NOT RECOMMENDED)
I then proceeded to purchase the cheaper engine, torque 1.4.2 for $100.
I attempted to open the installer and recieved the same message. I tried downloading again for the demo, however i have dial-up and would not wish to download the engine once again. I searched the site and found a case of this, but his/her solution was running a virus scan (which returned no results) and redownloading the next morning and then installing again.
Please tell me how to get this working because I do not wish my money to go to waste.

Either use a download manager (I recommend that) or download it elsewhere because it's most likely your connection.
