Hello everyone,

I'm a second year Gaming student at a community college in Washington state and am at the point in the program where I need to begin thinking about internships. I just finished my portfolio website and... well, it's a little sparse. I am working on personal projects to help fill it out, but thought I'd poke my head in here and see if I might be useful to anyone with my current skill level.

I work in Maya (which can export to obj) and Photoshop primarily. As a student please understand that unfortunately this the main type of license I have access to. If a team can use Silo in their pipeline I will additionally speed up my learning of that program. (Silo is a great, inexpensive modeling program.) I would like to work with a team that has strong, well thought-out concept art. My traditional art skills are early in their development and my models are a million times better when I work from good concepts. I'm a full time student with other responsibilities so I'm comfortable devoting 5-10 hours a week to a project.

My development of one of my portfolio characters is mostly detailed at: www.garagegames.com/mg/forums/result.thread.php?qt=47255. Everyone in the Show Off area of the forums has been kind and gave good critiques. (Now that I have a website I will be bundling that model for others to play with.) My portfolio is up at www.sarahairington.com/. You can contact me by email at airingto@yahoo.com.

If you have any questions or any feedback please let me know!

Thank you,

Sarah
