It's easy with a mac and text edit, you just do Apple-T and save it blah.mis and no extension changing. What I'm interested in is what is that MDI File Editor?

I put it in notepad, then press Save As and then since it asks me how to save the name as (deafult is: New Text Document.txt) so since it's highlighted on the start I just write (for example) mymission.mis and press save and it saves as .mis file, NOT as a .txt file [again, note I told it to save as .mis]. No need to change extention at all.

DS, you'll download something which is useless. You can save it as .mis you never asked now did you? lol @ windows cannot save directly as .mis. I would say you just said the stupidest thing ever I heard from you, but I guess I just did :) Sorry, but that was stupid.

Luke -> useless thread. Mac and Windows can save directly as .mis without the need to change extention. Besides, only lazy people would use this program.

TEXT EDITOR? What kind of a text editor?

YOU USE NOTEPAD, nothing else.

Here's a screenshot that can explain to you everything (note that I'm using the in-built Notepad in windows):

(move the bar to the right to see everything, the screenshot is big, damn :P)

Edit - Damn @ first row, supposed to say file, not flile or whatever I wrote there lol.

That's you Luke, it is not the same for the rest of us. I also believe you don't know how to use Notepad then. And that your game is screwed up if it cannot read such a simple .mis file that was saved on Notepad, because for me it does (and I bet for many others too, as it looks like).

Besides, it's not YOUR program, it's someone else's program you're using. Better say: "The program I'm using", don't say "my program"

I know hot to use note PAD

It's called Notepad, not note PAD. And if you know how to use it then it should save as .mis, obviously if you cannot get MBG to read that thing then you don't know what you're doing.
