Halo Effect

Hi everyone. Right to the point:
I've been poking around TGE 1.5. In one of the demo scenes, a halo effect is displayed and described. When I opened up the mission editor to get a good luck at the datablock, I found something interesting. The effect is created using a volumetric light (sgRedLightDataBlock). The two lights that use the LighHalo datablock are no where near the scene, and appear to do nothing.
The volumetric light looks great, I was just curious about the other two. . .any one who worked on the demo or TLK want to shed some light on the situation? =)

Thanks for the reply John. I'm pretty new when it comes to lighting effect creation and comparison. Is it safe to say that the halo scene is the best representation of that lighting effect? Could you refer anyone else to answer these questions?
