A little quiz to help me out .
1.
( TSE FAQ question 9 )
After the Early Adopter discount program ends, TGE "Indie" LIcensees can always upgrade to TSE for $195.
True/False ?
2.
If I buy the TSE Early Adopter license, will I have to pay again when TSE is fully released?
-> No. Early Adopters will get the full version of TSE for free.
Including this ? -> OpenGL support will be implemented after the 1.0 version of TSE ships
Yes/no
3.
Licensing.
Dual licensing for TSE will be available when complete with an 'indie'license for $295 and a commercial license for $995. Currently available is a special Early Adopter's price of $150.
WRONG
->it will be a single license for TSE costing x dollar
where x would be
a. $295 as said before
b. $300 sound good
c. more than $300
4.
Why does TSE run so slow (MS3 starterkit) / product-page demo
a. Issues with an Nvidia Geforce 6700 XL
b. Your super computer that runs the next-generation of games smooth is actually Crap !
c. Stop whining, Go away
d. It an old demo the Bugs are fixed now
NOTE: in the demo (not the cardemo not the dojo , the other one) there is a moment that the frame rate goes to 3 fps . when looking away it runs +- normal. I think I had the same problem in MS3 as when another orc model was visible the frame rate droppend badly.
But after all i think that TGE,TSE are the best indie engines for there prices so far .

P.S : GG please update the FAQ and the Product page of TSE or people will get hurt

The Dual Licensing. Engine licenses are per-seat.

Ah, I think that's matter of interpretation then. I always read that as meaning two different licenses are offered. Does the phrase 'Dual Licensing' actually mean something different in another space?

Just kidding. Just edited the product pages to make the wording clearer. Also changed the price for commercial licensing upon release.

Yes, you can upgrade your Indie License of TSE to a Commercial License for $845.00 USD. You can find the purchase link on the product page here: www.garagegames.com/products/38

1) True, or you can buy TSE as a stand-alone product when the EA period is over.
2) As of, i havent heard of them charging anything for updates and patches for TSE after 1.0 status is reached, so yes.
3) Like all Torque engine products, a license is per-programmer seat, so for each programmer, you need to buy a license. Standalone is 295, tge upgrade is 195(post EA)
4) Alot of the performance problems had to do with the rather hack-ish setup to the way skinning was rendered, as well as the fact that there was almost no batching going on. They fixed this up rather nicely in MS3.5 and 4, so your answer is d.
