Hi. I'm started today with milkshape and decided to try and make a mario pipe thing. I finally got something acceptable http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e205/kendawgg5/pipehelp.jpg
I've had issues getting the textures to show up with exporting but, at least for now, I've got that working. My problem is: This is how my model shows up in Torque http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e205/kendawgg5/demo2006-09-2120-18-59-12.jpg
Where did I go wrong? Is it a bad model? It seemed to look good in Milkshape. What in the exportation process could cause so many faces not to show up? Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you need more info. let me know. I will be checking this quite a bit.
Thanks
Ken Mitchell

Milkshape does that to me too, I can't even animate a gun model without it taking out half of the poly's.

How you modeling in MilkShape, I have never had this happen. I have model crates, guns and players, etc.

If I am correct, you should be able to see this by moving around your model.
You can correct this by selecting the offending faces and go to Face | Reverse Vertex Order, which essentially causes the face to flip and face the other way.
It could also be an issue with LOD (Level Of Detail), but I'm guessing the former.

This appears to be an issue with the faces. All your faces must "face" the outside of the model for the texture to show up. Put another way, on any model your texture will only show up on one side of a face (which makes sense if you think about it), thus all your faces must be pointed the same way.If I am correct, you should be able to see this by moving around your model.

Toggle off Draw Backfaces in Ms3d to be certain of your normal directions...;).
