Hey guys,

Ever since I got my new GPU the TSE Demo wont work, at the beginning I allwaiys get this:

My old GPU was an ATI Radeon X700 Pro and my new one is a GeForce 7600GT and they both have support for shaders, the GeForce has shader model 3.0 and DX9.0c (SDK version) is installed on my system, too.

So what can I do to make it work?

Thanks in advance!

Have you tried getting the latest drivers for your graphics card?

Have you tried running any other games with shaders on it? That would help narrow down whats causing this. Its probably just a driver issue though.

What does your console.log look like?

I have the newest Nvidia driver and I can play Oblivion on full settings, who ever wants to tell me that Oblivion doesnt use shaders is nuts, Oblivion is basically a shader! :)

I have to check the console.log so I dont know.

Actually, oblivion is a mess saved only by 3rd parties who wrote replacement shaders that run faster and look better.

In regards to the 7600GT, is it AGP or PCI-E.
I've used all of the PCI-E 7 series in SLI with TSE without a single problem (except 7950).

What driver version specifically. Version 91.31 sucks. Did you download them from the nVidia site or are they from the cd that came with your card? I'd recommend hunting down some DHzer0point drivers. Grant it that will terminate your warranty. Or get slightly older drivers and try that.

It's not a TSE problem, it's your problem somewhere somehow.

It could actually be a TSE problem, the old driver checker was flaky sometimes with misc 3rd party nVidia manufacturers. Unfortunately, I can't think of too many things that can be done to fix the problem other than release new demos, which we will be doing in the next few months.

I have the 7600GT with driver versions 9.1.3.1, and I had a lot of problems installing the driver for what was still there from my ATI driver made some problems but thats solved now. I was going to get the 7950, maybe even two of em but that would be too much since it already has 2 GPU's. The driver on the CD did not make the Windows XP "Logo test" which kinda pisses me off but I didnt find a way of solving that.

Right now I dont need TSE anyway so I will just wait for the update and then try it again but thank all of you guys for the help and have a nice day and good luck developing! ;)
