Info about the commercial TSE license says this:
Licensing
TSE Commercial License allows teams to use the Torque for any commercial purpose. Pricing for the TSE Commercial License is $995 per individual programmer "seat", no royalties. A single license can be used on an unlimited number of titles or projects in a manner similar to standard box software such as 3D editors or compilers.
But I can't find what the indie TSE license says...
How do you qualify for indie license? Does indie license include giving royalty to GarageGames? Does it include only a limited number of titles?
thanks

I'm sure I'm leaving something out, but that's the gist of it. Hopefully, someone will correct my mistakes.

The last I checked, TSE Indie is still royalty free for an unlimited number of game products. It does not entitle you to make professional simulations, educational products, serious games or any other non-game software. You must include the Garage Games logo in your startup screen. You/your company cannot earn more than $250,000 (US) per year, nor any company that has aquired your company. I'm sure I'm leaving something out, but that's the gist of it. Basically, you have to be making a game, include the GG logo, and make less than $250,000 a year to qualify. See the link that Matt posted for specifics.

OK, that clear things up a bit. I guess the way to go for us is to buy indie licenses, and if we grow beyond $250K a year, we upgrade to Commercial.

Oh, and the indie license is tied to the programmer themselves and not to a "seat". So if they leave your company, they take the indie license with them.
