Snakes on a Plane

If there were ever a movie that captures the feeling of playing a game... it's Snakes on a Plane. For the dear love of all that is funny... go see this movie this weekend. It's a guilty pleasure, but it's funnier than shit and fun as hell. Don't see a matinee, see a late show with the rowdy crowd. You have to be with a crowd that cheers the snake that gets peed on by the guy... and what it does and what the guy says about it. Man... if you have any sense of irreverant fun, this movie is a must see. In fact... this movie should possibly be seen by the entire crowd of IGC... it should be in a second run theater by then. Yes, you probably need a couple drinks before seeing this movie, but that shouldn't be too tall of an order for the crowd at IGC. LOL. Man. Go watch this and have some mother f****** fun with mother f****** Snakes on a Plane.

Anton,

Thank you for posting. I know your movie threads annoyed other people, but I always enjoyed them.

I have to say that Samuel L. Jackson has flair for coarse language. In general, I really don't like hearing profanity, except in one of his films. It's hard to explain, but when Mr. Jackson is saying this stuff, it almost sounds like poetry. In fact, my biggest complaint against the Star Wars prequels wasn't Jar Jar, but the fact that Sam Jackson didn't let loose a couple of times. His characters just don't feel real otherwise.

You mean see it with a crowd like this:

"Flakes on a Train"

What does Snakes on a Plane have to do with IGC? I'd understand if it was a game, but quite clearly, it is not.

I would much rather prefer meeting all the independant game developers, and perhaps listening to the IGC Indie Jam rather than watching a trashy comedy film.

@James Urquhart

I can't really defend my idea that watching Snakes on a Plane with a bunch of drunk off their ass IGC attendees would be an unforgetably fun time... except, to say that I've been to IGC and there's game dev talk and then as the night progresses... there's... playing board games while drunk off your ass time.

But I'm really just saying that if you like a good silly time... that you'll like Snakes on a Plane. And... man... I would love to be there when a bunch of indie game devs walk out of that movie and start talking about making an indie game in a day of it. :) That would be awesome.

Recently there was a cat attacking people so when that Snakes banner broke out I modded it.

Here is the picture don't click if your offended by foul language. (it's a joke banner)

So who's gonna make "Snakes on a plane" TGB?

Sam Jackson jumping over seats stabbing snakes with a fishing spear side scroller?

Wow.. this movie was horrid. If I wasn't at a drive-in, it would have been the 2nd movie I walked out on. Horrible, horrible waste of money.

@Jonathon Stevens

Oh no! You went to see this at a drive in?! 1st, cool, i didn't know there were still drive ins anymore. 2nd, this movie sucks unless you see it with a crowd of people in a theater who are cheering it on and quoting lines and laughing their butts off. This is the new Rocky Horror Picture Show... it's all about audience participation.

Anyone who wants to wait for this for a dvd or even for a month from now at the theater... don't waste your time. Unless you hold out for a second run theater and see it will a big crowd of cheap skates. man, the only thing as good as the first weekend crowd of people who were dieing to watch a movie, is the cheap crowd... they rock.

Saw this at Blockbuster the other day and my girlfriend started cracking up. I thought I was going to have to call 911 or something. ;-)
