Registration Woahs

by Michael Shine · in ThinkTanks · 07/24/2006 (6:23 pm) · 4 replies

Ok... I tried the My Garage route.. there is not "Products" Checkbox,
I never received an ignition file, I only received my license key via
email at the time of purchase, and see nowhere to enter a key?

I have no product history on the website, because I bought this a LONGTIME
ago, so how the heck do I enter my registration code?

Thanks,
Mike

You posted a while back, but here's something...

Log in to your account here at GarageGames.

At the top of the page, you should see "My Account". When you go there, you see the list of GG products you bought and the key code for them. Write that code down. (should be the same as your code you got via e-mail)

Open ThinkTanks. You will be asked to enter a code. You need to be connected to the Internet when you enter it. The game connects to a server, verifies your code, and then, voila. Your copy is registered and ready to play.

Maybe this is help, maybe you already tried that.

LGM...

That's what I did when I purchased the game a couple years back.. Since then
I have built a new machine.. I installed the game, got out my saved registration
code, but there is nowhere to put in the code??

I click the register button and it opens a webpage, But I have nowhere to enter the code.

I have pleaded and gone back and forth with Ben Bradley regarding this issue, and he just
doesn;t give a shit. Apparently if I purchased this game off of this website, I'm on my own!

Screwed in other words... I could have sworn I purchased it at garage games, but apparently
I did not, because even though I gave them my Name and Reg code/License, there must be
no record of my transaction..

I'm NOT going to pay for this game again... and I CARTAINLY NOT going to purchase anything
else from Garage games in the furture..

If I am going to make a purchase online, without a CD backup, and the only way to register
is online, and they change the process two years down the road, then what good is that to
me?? I understand the need these days to protect product rights, but heck I paid for it and
now I cannot even play it.

I was also in contact with Eric Fritz, and everyone just keep pointing me to the
My Account section, which is NOT going to contain anything, because when I originally
purchased it, I do not think I needed to even set up an account.

Would I be going through this much trouble for a free key, for a $20 dollar game??

It's the principle, and frankly I let it go, until I received this email notifying someone
actually posted a reply to my post. I thought maybe someone felt bad and had a solution
to my problem, but apparently it is just another employee telling me to check the My Account
section.
